The Story:
Best known for her efforts to save and maintain the Alamo, Clara Driscoll was a Texas-born businesswoman, philanthropist, and historic preservationist. She was born on Copano Bay in Refugio County in 1881. Clara was educated at private academies and was fluent in four languages. Aside from the life-long commitment to preserving the Alamo, she was also a published author, manager of her family's businesses, and became the president of the Corpus Christi Bank and Trust Company.
This dessert wine captures both the boldness and elegance of this extraordinary lady.
