The Story:
Named for the legendary explorer Cabeza de Vaca, or the many herds of wild cattle that inhabited the area, the Lavaca River swells wide after the Navidad River joins it south of the site of old Texana, which now rests below the waters of Lake Texana after the construction of Palmetto Bend Dam. Legendary stories haunt the vineyard bluffs overlooking the river.
This Viognier wine honors the rich history of the colonists and pioneers who settled along the Gulf Coast, as well as the beautiful Texas sunsets.
